Expect more than just basic services – thanks to our social analysis.
Anyone who actively spends time with older people knows how important fond memories and cherished activities from the past are. A beautiful song can open a window to times gone by, or a simple ball of yarn can evoke memories of security and care.
It’s often the little things that make up the happiness of those for whom we have become responsible. When caring for these individuals, we meticulously ensure they are well looked after. But who considers their personal happiness when searching for a care solution?
We do this! In addition to the traditional care needs assessment, we focus on the personal well-being of those requiring care. Through our social analysis, we offer you the opportunity to select your caregiver not only based on professional qualifications, but also on personal values and hobbies. We believe that individuals who have matured over many decades deserve more than a one-size-fits-all approach!

How It Works
Our simple 4-step process connects you with the perfect caregiver quickly and safely
1. Tell us your needs
Home care works particularly well when the right people are brought together. This includes professional skills, but also the needs that people have. And it works really well when people have common hobbies or interests. Just tell us about yourself and we will start looking for you. From training to employment contracts to care placements, everything is organized and costs you nothing. You bring your heart for people, which is more important to us.
2. Get verified matches
After just a few days, we usually find suitable employers, whom we then introduce to you.
3. Meet & choose
During the getting-to-know-you phase, all the important points are discussed. Your needs, the necessary training, the organization of the journey there and back, and so on. Bring up everything you want to clarify, then we can plan it
4. Agree on a start date
Once the preparations are complete, we will work with you to set your start date, and then you can get started.
About Good Souls
There are many wonderful moms and dads who are now slowly growing old, sometimes lonely, or in need of help in their everyday lives. And the children of these loving parents now have families of their own, demanding jobs, often a lot of responsibility, and therefore not the time to be with their parents every day. This is exactly how Valentin and Karli feel.
Human-Centered
We believe that the best care comes from genuine human relationships and mutual understanding. That is why our placement service is based on human qualities in addition to the necessary requirements.
Reliable
Anyone who has family members in need of care understands what this entails. We are only satisfied when you are happy with your solution.
Inclusive
Caregivers must be as versatile as the people they care for. We put people at the centre of everything we do – for us, joie de vivre is a fundamental part of every stage of life.
Transparent
When connecting people, you need more than just standard information about the service. We also tell you about the carers' hobbies and interests – bringing genuine joy to life at home.
FAQ's
Find answers to common questions about our caregiving services
How quickly can I start work?
We work without delay. The time it takes until your first assignment depends primarily on the training you already have and any training you may still need. On average, you can expect around 14 days.
What qualifications do I need to apply?
It is important to us that you have a heart for people. Professional or medical training is not necessary, but it is helpful, of course. Everything you need to get off to a good start will be taught to you through flexible training programs.
What documents and evidence do you require?
We definitely need proof of your identity. This can be an ID card or passport.
If you already have professional medical training, we need the relevant certificates as proof of your qualifications.
What types of care are there and which is the most common?
The most common type of care is home care. You help a person with the normal tasks of everyday life. Specific medical tasks are not part of your job. Just like in other jobs, you have regular working hours and sufficient free time. This is regulated by law in Germany to protect working people.
Other forms of care include inpatient work in nursing homes, hospitals, or hospices, or mobile care. In these cases, you will not have ONE person to care for every day, but many different ones.
Other forms of care include inpatient work in nursing homes, hospitals, or hospices, or mobile care. In these cases, you will not have ONE person to care for every day, but many different ones.
Not sure what suits you best? Just tell us what you are looking for and we will put you in touch with the right people. That's our job and we love it.
If you have special training, we will be happy to ensure that you are placed in a position that matches your skills. Good training is an advantage in all jobs. Here too, and especially so.
How does the placement process work?
In step 1, you provide us with your details, skills, and preferences. We sort and check this information in a database.
In step 2, with your consent, we contact suitable companies in Germany and recommend you to them.
In step 3, we establish contact between you and the company.
This usually takes only 2-3 days.
Together, we will discuss all relevant topics, such as training, start dates, and individual preferences, and we will plan your new career together.
Once you have reached an agreement with the company, step 4 begins and all contractual and administrative formalities are taken care of. You do not need to worry about this either. At the same time, your personal preparation and training will already be underway. Depending on your previous knowledge, this will take a few days to a maximum of two weeks.
Once that is done, we will organize your travel arrangements with our partners. This could be a shuttle bus, train, or even a plane. It depends on where you live and where you want to work.
And then you're ready to start your new career. During the first few weeks, you will also receive active support on site and be accompanied until everything feels comfortable and familiar to you.
We are at your side until you feel confident.
How much do you earn in a care job?
As with all jobs, this always depends on your qualifications and the difficulty of the task. The average income for home care is around €3,000 per month. Accommodation (private rooms in the home of the person receiving care) is provided free of charge.
Are there any fees?
All standard services provided by good souls are always free of charge for you in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions.
The services provided by German care companies for your training and official registration are also free of charge at most of these companies. If there is a fee, you will be informed of this in advance before you sign the contract. Of course, you can choose the provider that suits you best from among the various providers. We are happy to help you with this.
How will I be paid for my work?
This is a very important question.
There are various payment options. You can be paid directly by the person you are caring for or through the care company. This varies depending on your employment contract.
If you need help with this, we are here to assist you. It is important that the payment arrangements are clear to you.
Is there an opportunity to meet in person before starting?
Absolutely, there is. In fact, it is very important that you get to know each other first and get a feel for the people and the job.
Tip: Every childcare placement is different.
Always ask about the facilities so that you only bring the things you personally need. Generally speaking, a lot of things are already available on site.
What if you don't get along so well at work?
In general, you should take enough time to get to know each other. It's a new situation for you, but also for the person you support in their everyday life. Sometimes both sides have to learn this together. Be patient and understanding.
In most cases, everything will work out fine and everyone involved will be very happy in the long term.
And if you really don't get along, there is also the option of a change. Normally, there are no costs involved. This is regulated in your employment contract between you and the German company.
How secure is my data with good souls?
In Germany, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs the handling of data. This also applies to our work and means that your data is securely protected in our database.
We only collect data that we need to be able to introduce you to a care company in Germany.
We only store references and certificates to the extent that they are required by the authorities to obtain the desired work permit for you.
The duration of data storage is also clearly regulated in our data protection agreement. Your data can remain stored with us for as long as you want us to continue offering you new care positions. We will ask you about this at regular intervals. If you no longer require our services, we will delete your data completely.
How do you ensure quality in your collaboration?
Through ongoing quality checks by our auditor and open and honest collaboration with people and companies, we ensure that everything works optimally. If something isn't right, we address it and find a solution together.
We can only be as good for people as we can be together. We take this responsibility seriously.
Are there also offers for companies?
We are always interested in expanding our network with high-quality partners. Perhaps we are looking for you right now? Please get in touch with us, we look forward to hearing from you!
What support and assistance do new caregivers receive?
EVERYTHING they need to grow into their new job well and confidently.
Through our network, we have many different companies and specialists who will accompany you through the various stages of your career and be there for you. You will never feel alone with us.
How many assignments can I get through good souls?
That's a very good question. We are here to support you throughout your entire career as a caregiver. You can get new assignments through us, you can get new contractual partners through us, you can get new clients through us, and if you have any organizational questions later on, we are also here to support you as management consultants.
We help you grow and improve quality of life.
What should I do if I have a sudden family emergency and need to interrupt a care assignment?
Two things are very important in this case:
We cannot leave the person being cared for alone, and at the same time it is important that you are there for your family.
The solution is for another caregiver to step in temporarily and take over your duties.
Can anyone work as a caregiver?
We always believe that if you have a heart for people, you have the most important foundation in place.
But as with all other jobs, certain legal, physical, and psychological requirements must be met in order to be well-suited as a caregiver. However, we will clarify this with you when we get to know each other. This way, there will be no unwanted surprises for you later on.
How long does the training take?
That depends on several factors:
Do you already have prior knowledge or have you perhaps even worked as a caregiver? If so, the technical preparation can be completed in a few days.
If you have no prior knowledge, the training can take up to two weeks.
The type of care you are interested in and would like to specialize in can also be a deciding factor. Simple home care may already be covered by many of your everyday skills, but dementia care, for example, requires a detailed understanding of topics that most people have never dealt with in depth before.
During the recruitment interview with the German company, you will quickly get a clear picture of what is involved. This will help you.
If you have any special requests, this is the perfect place to bring them up. We will help you!
Do I need to be able to speak German?
Generally speaking, yes. Most elderly people in Germany only speak German. In everyday life, it is important to be able to communicate in a simple way.
If you don't speak German, you will also receive German lessons as part of your training. This is not a problem and does not cost anything extra.
Of course, it is also possible that the people you are caring for may speak several languages themselves. In this case, a language other than German can also be used.
The important thing is mutual understanding.
Do I need medical training for this?
No, absolutely not. Home care means providing support in everyday life.
Of course, there are also people who need simple medical care in addition to this. However, only caregivers who have solid training and proven practical experience are assigned to these cases.
The well-being of the people entrusted to us is our responsibility. You will therefore always be assigned to a role that matches your qualifications.
How long do I stay with a person?
That always depends on the assignment and the agreed form of cooperation.
In most cases, you work for about two weeks and then have two weeks off. During this time, another caregiver is on site. In addition to daily free time, this change ensures longer periods of rest and time for family and friends at home. This rhythm is not fixed, but is agreed with you on a case-by-case basis. You always have a say, because your good care is what matters.
In general, you stay with the person you are caring for until either the contract expires, or until the form of care is no longer necessary or perhaps no longer sufficient and medical experts take over.
Do I have to work around the clock?
No, definitely not! Caring for someone is a job that involves a lot of responsibility. That's why it's very, very important that you also have enough time to relax. Just like in any other job, you start in the morning, have a lunch break, and are free in the evening. This leaves you time for yourself and to relax. It also gives you the opportunity to get to know the places where you work. That's a nice added bonus.
How much will I earn?
Your earnings always depend on the assignment. If you have medical training and take on challenging care cases, you will also have a higher salary.
If, for example, you only work part-time and perform few tasks, your salary will be lower.
A good (non-binding) guideline for home care is around 3,000 euros per month.
How do I get to work and back home again?
There are many options available to you. If you wish, you can drive your car. Alternatively, you can take the train, use an organized shuttle service, or even fly.
No matter what you decide, you will receive excellent support in organizing your trip.
What is meant by 24-hour care?
The term is sometimes used when referring to home care, where the caregiver also lives in the patient's home (in their own rooms). But please note: the caregiver NEVER works 24 hours a day.
In fact, the term is misleading because there is no such thing as 24-hour care provided by individual caregivers. The law requires regulated working hours with clear start and end times and sufficient rest periods in between.
Only those who are well rested can be motivated and full of life for others.
